Music Together® is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987, Music Together pioneered the concept of a research based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum. The program is based on the understanding and research that all children are born musical and that all parents and caregivers play a crucial role in nurturing their child’s development.
Now being taught internationally to thousands of children and their families, the program began as an educational project of the Center for Music and Young Children (CMYC) located in Princeton, New Jersey. Founded in 1985 by Kenneth Guilmartin, CMYC is committed to helping families, caregivers, and early childhood professionals rediscover the pleasure and value of informal, non-performance oriented musical experiences, especially during the early childhood years.
Music Together® classes as stated above are based on the premise that all children are musical. All children can learn during their early years of childhood to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture. By emphasizing and using actual music experience rather than concepts about music. Music Together introduces children to the pleasure and joy of making music instead of passively receiving it from CD’s or Television.
Early childhood is the critical time of their lives when a child’s musical aptitude is developing most rapidly. Like the process of language development, the early years are the best time to developing basic music competence.
Music Together® classes build on young child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement; in turn providing a good foundation for future instrument, dance study or music appreciation. Moreover, the development of musical skills significantly benefits a child’s physical, emotional and intellectual development for their future.
Central to the Music Together® approach is that young children learn best from the powerful role model of parents and caregivers who are actively making music. The program brings families together by providing a rich musical environment in the classroom and by facilitating family participation in spontaneous musical activity at home within the context of your daily life.

Mindy J. Blair Director/Owner:Mindy is the mother of two beautiful children, Paisley who was born in July of 2007 and Theron who was born in July of 2009. She has acted and performed in many musical plays, attended college, and competed in track and cross country competitively. After college she became a construction project manager, a very high stress job. After the birth of her daughter Paisley Anne Blair on 7-27-2007, she decided to find a career that was family oriented, her children could be involved and she could work out of her home. That is when Music Together® was brought into her life. The music that she has always loved is back, the involvement with children and young families bring her great joy and satisfaction. She hopes every family that participates in Music Together® learns that no matter where you are musically or in your life, you can step into class and transform into a more child like state. Release all worries and stress and become one with your child. You are your child’s best friend and teacher
Laurie Finear:Laurie was raised in beautiful Santa Barbara California, when there weren’t any budget cuts in the schools. Singing, dancing, acting pantomime, vocal ensemble, gymnastics were all offered and she was in them all. Laurie acted, sang and danced through Jr. High and High school and attended SBCC where she performed in the community theater and started a dancing telegram business with her friends. Laurie also trained to be an expedition leader with and amazing program called Sea the Summit, where they took young teens to the High Sierras to experience the great outdoors. With such a wonderful array of talent Laurie’s most important desire in her heart was to have a family. She was married in 1985 and was blessed with four amazing daughters whom were all birthed at home. She was a homemaker, and spent year’s homeschooling her daughters. These years to her are irreplaceable. Laurie hopes to bring the love for singing, dancing to all families in hope that it will light up their hearts just as it has lit up hers and her families through joy and laughter.
Kristi Rudisill:Growing up in a musical family, Kristi loved nothing more than singing and listening to her dad play guitar. With early introduction, music has always remained an important part of who Kristi is. In High School and college she performed in plays and musicals. By her teens Kristi was playing guitar and becoming a talented singer/songwriter. Since then she's had the opportunity to perform her music in front of various audiences, in bands, open mics, and even performances in Vienna Austria, the home of many amazing musicians. Kristi’s early love for music and travel has clearly influenced her career decisions, from multiple radio DJ/hosting gigs, to a mobile DJ company in San Francisco, to working in sales and marketing at a Seattle Cruise line, she has always found a way to combine passion with profession. Kristi's own experience shows the importance of early childhood music. She knows that regardless of a child's eventual profession or passions, having a heart open and able to embrace music in all its beauty and nuance will bring lifelong joy and benefits. Kristi lives in the Rogue Valley with her husband and their two boys ages 2 & 3. As a family they enjoy cooking, the outdoors, reading together, and of course singing and dancing to a favorite tune.

* Infants 8 months or younger (by class start date) are free in the same mixed age class with a registered sibling. * Fees listed above are for a standard 10 wk session. Summer session is $120 for an 8 wk session.

Registration and Admin fees are non-refundable. Pro-rated tuition refunds are given through the third week of class. Opened materials may not be refunded and must be purchased

Music Together® mixed age classes are unique in that they offer the classes to children ages birth to four in the same class. This is wonderful because the activities that are conducted focus on adult/child interaction rather than child/child interaction; children of different ages (such as siblings) can enjoy classes together. Each child will participate at his or her own level in singing, moving, changing, listening, watching and exploring musical instruments. This is great in that the younger children enjoy watching and imitating the older ones. The older ones learn by helping the younger ones and the younger ones learn by watching the older ones and their parents and or caregivers. Anyone can bring the children from caregivers-parents, grandparents, nannies. The whole family is welcome for this important family music making experience.
